Simon studied photography and imaging at Manchester Metropolitan University receiving a first class BA (Hons) degree in 2000. He returned to MMU to study and receive a masters degree in fine art in 2008. Since graduating, Simon has actively developed his practice and exhibited work individually and as part of group shows in galleries across the UK and abroad. Along with his work being published in a number of artistic and commercial contexts, Simon's 'Ghost Ships' was published as a book by Aglu Press in 2013. Simon holds a post graduate certification in education and has lectured part time in photography for over fifteen years. There is also a commercial strand to Simon's work which involves the submission of images to one of the UK's most contemporary image agents/library, Millennium Images, who primarily work with book publishers and record companies. All of Simon's images are staged and captured in one exposure.
